On 17 June, Ballarat South Uniting Church was able to make a donation of five boxes of goods to the Soup Bus. Sylvia had received donations of money and goods from the congregation and Roger and Elizabeth were deputised to purchase appropriate items for taking to the bus depot for donation.
Items included Weet-Bix, canned soups, baked beans, spaghetti and stews, noodles, small tins of flavoured tuna and so on. One volunteer said they had run out of Cup of Soups, so a quick trip to the nearest supermarket fixed that problem. That made six boxes on total as the soups were on special!!

The Soup Bus team, where Sylvia Wallace has volunteered for years, was thrilled to receive the delivery and there is clearly a big demand for help every week. Sylvia hasn't been able to volunteer recently, so Elizabeth and Roger Trudgeon have stepped in to assist.

Please spare the Soup Bus a thought when shopping and help the church keep on donating to this important support for the community. Put your donations in the suitcase in the Buninyong Church Hall (near the front door) or at the back of the church. Thank you to everyone at church who has helped the Soup Bus.
