More Than Craft on Wednesday

Every Wednesday, something small and joyful takes shape. Not only on the tables, but across the whole room.
Hands get busy, and so do the smiles. A simple wooden frame turns into something full of colour. Buttons, flowers, and tiny details find their place. Keely, Margaret, Kim, and Alison were proud of what they created, and you could see that same quiet pride across the whole room. Others held up their pieces, comparing, laughing, and admiring each other’s work.

Then, for a moment, everything paused.
Lyn, one of our volunteers, had a birthday. The crafts were set aside. We all sang, loud and cheerful. She smiled, made her wish, and blew out the candle on her cupcake. A simple moment, but one everyone enjoyed.

Soon, the fun picked up again. Bright hats, big smiles, and plenty of laughter. Even those not doing crafts joined in.
And then there is Barb.
Our very own Barb, beaming as she shows off her bunny hat. Already in the Easter spirit. She was proud to show it off and maybe hoping for a few Easter sweets too. She was not the only one. There is a quiet excitement building as Easter gets closer.

That is what Wednesdays do.
You come in for craft. You leave with more. A finished piece, a good laugh, and time shared with others.
Our arts and crafts group meets every Wednesday. All welcome, no experience needed, just enthusiasm (and perhaps a tolerance for glitter).
