Looking for a place to connect?

Updated: Aug 12

At Ballarat South Uniting Churcheveryone is welcome, no matter your background, beliefs, age, or stage in life. We celebrate diversity, encourage questions, and build community on respect, care, and kindness.

Whether you’re exploring faith, looking for connection, or simply seeking a safe and friendly space to be yourself, you’ll find an open door and a warm smile here.

What to Expect on a Sunday

When you arrive at Ballarat South Uniting Church, you will be greeted by our friendly congregation. We encourage you to come as you are. There is no need to dress up or put on a show. Our focus is on worship and community, not on appearances.

Worship Service - Sundays at 9:30 AM

Every Sunday at 9:30 AM, we gather for a welcoming worship service filled with music, prayer, and a message, sometimes from one of our ministers, sometimes from a church member—always relevant to life today. Communion is celebrated every second Sunday.

Children are part of the service from the start, sharing in the Children’s Word before heading to fun activities like arts, crafts, and games in a safe, caring environment.

After worship, you’re invited to share a cuppa and coffee in the church hall—a relaxed time to connect, chat, and build friendships.

Meredith Uniting Church also holds a service and communion every second Sunday at 11:00 AM.

Events and Activities

We love creating opportunities to connect, have fun, and serve our community.

  • Children’s Playgroup – Mondays, 9:30–11:00 AM. A safe, welcoming space for kids to play while parents and carers connect.

  • Breakfast Wednesday – Every Wednesday at 10:00 AM. A friendly midweek catch-up over breakfast and conversation.

  • Community Service – We support local initiatives like the Ballarat Soup Bus and the Sammy Stamp grant program, helping those in need in our region.
